Most popular database in 2020

The database is a process of collecting data via electronic media to a useful objective. Data has stored in a database in the form of rows, columns, and table structures. Data is storing in the form of text, numeric, dates, documents files, and image formats. If we are talking about the history of databases, In 1960 People were using a hierarchical database (tree structures technology). In 1980 relation databases were used by most companies. Then more recent SQL databases were used in 1990. SQL database is the most popular database in the world.

Next, What is DBMS?

What is Database Management System?

Database Management System is a technology from which we can store and retrieve databases to achieve digital goals.

Software: — Database Management System is a software system from which you can manage the database. It is also known as the Management console. It is a real-world physical system that shares with the back-end database. Many factors are involved in this operation: The OS, networking software, and hardware to create, access, manage, and process databases.

Data: Most popular databases perform database operation access and use metadata as assets for functionality. Data contains files, administrative information, data dictionaries, data flows, structures, relationships, and other records or objects.

Procedures: — Procedure is the process to give some instructions to the administrator. It is documented guidelines for users from which he can design, modifying, managing and processing databases.

Database Languages: — this is the process from which administrators can assess, read, modify, retrieve data from the database. Data Definition Language (DDL), Data Manipulation Language (DML), Database Access Language (DAL) and Data Control Language (DCL) these are the language of DBMS

Query processor: — It is processed in which the user is communicating between database engines and performed tasks by query requests when the user entered an instruction in SQL language command executed and gave output to the client.

Runtime database manager: — This is a process in which the database is checking all authorization of requests. Then approve for the final process. it is suitable for many users

Database Manager: — database manager is the manager of the data query at runtime. It can set creating, deleting, backup, restoring, and cloning, and other database maintenance tasks. The database manager is also useful to update the database whenever required.

That’s all about DBMS. Next, what is the type of database?

Type of databases

1. MySQL: –

MySQL is the most popular database in the world. It is an oracle base SQL language (RDBMS) structure. It can run on platforms like Windows, Linux, and UNIX. It uses a client-server model to handle all commands. MySQL can handle a large number of databases. If a database installs on the machine, it can send data to multiple locations.

2. PostgreSQL: –

It is an open-source Database management system that is not controlled by any corporation or any private entity. It created by a professor named Michael Stonebreaker. He was a computer science professor. The main key feature of this language is that you can write a code of any languages

3. MongoDB: –

it is a document-oriented language that provides high performance, high availability, and more scalability to collect data and retrieve processes.

4. MariaDB: –

The MariaDB server is the most popular server in the world. It is a useful database service in the banking sector. It is an open-source application you don’t need to buy it. Downloading is required. It is using an ecosystem of storage engines so that it is Better than MySQL.

5. Redis DB:-

It is an open-source (BSD licensed) database where you can use various types of databases like strings, hashes, lists, sets, sorted with range queries. To achieve outstanding performance Redis database uses an in-memory dataset.

The most popular database is MySQL. 53.5 % of the people are using MySQL. But PostgreSQL is not far away from MySQL. It is the 3rd largest database in the world.

Advantage of databases

There are many advantages of databases. Your data is secure and private. The following are the advantages of DBMS. And most popular database companies are taking this advantage.

Reducing Data Redundancy

The file-based on DBMS contained Multiple files which are stored in different locations. Because of this, there were sometimes multiple copies of some files which reduce the load on the server. You do not need to take a backup of your data. It also prevents files from corrupt because many copies store at different locations.

Data Security

DBMS is checking authentication by using user names and passwords so that unauthored users can not access the database. If the user enters the wrong password more than three times then the server will block his account temporarily.

Privacy

Privacy is a big issue in today's world. Many news channels are making headlines for their news agencies. But in a database management system built a rule to access the data. For that, the user must be showing his identity at the time of login. Most popular database companies keep more focus on privacy.

Backup and Recovery

The database management system is taking care of backup and Recovery automatically. When hardware failure. Restores the data so that the user can not be lost his valueless data. Many hosting providing companies are taking backup on different hardware for that it has secure. That is how the importance of the backup of the database. Backup is necessary for most popular database companies.

Data Consistency

Data consistency ensures that All users can view some data at some time. It is valid according to all tag rules, including constraints, triggers, and any combination. For that, there are fewer chances of getting errors in the database.
